The version you played was the old version of the game, this new season 1 redux is the old game made new and it contains the old version of season 1 with a little of season 2 in it, it contain an upgraded version of the old game with a lot of new content, bio for the characters, new and old characters introduced early on, new scenes, and many more.

If I buy this version now, do I have to pay when others come out? Or is it just a one-time purchase?
when you purchase season 1 redux you get to keep it, when season 2 redux comes out that is a seperate game that you may have to purchase

Does this Season 1 have less content? Like the story didn't go as far as the version I played?
I'm asking because at the time I don't remember reading anything about Season 1 or that it had more Seasons or so on
